Now in the north Bali also famous place for tourism, they
have a beautiful place for snorkeling or
dive. But for now I will write about my adventure culture in Singaraja and Tejakula,
nice people there and nice culture. Not a lot different with other Bali, but
they very nice people and a lot off them is born in that place. Singaraja is
the big city actually because the port can’t be use anymore for some reason,
and then port just became historic place. Singaraja is the old town in bali,
and that make a many old building and a big Chinatown there. Beautiful building
and just behind of the port, on the port also have beautiful Chinese temple
with all ornament.
For me travelling not just for come in beautiful place, that
is about a learn different culture also a learn different society. I stay in
kadek home, my Balinese best friend. She is a beautiful Balinese dancer and
also acrobatic dancer. I learn many thing about Bali from her and the family, i
ask her permission for following a ceremony on her house when she have a
ceremony. I come in the Galungan day a big ceremonial event for Balinese people,
they will pray at home and then go to many temple for praying. Because in that ceremony
we must come to the place where we belonging, and I must weak up in the morning
to following that ceremony.
In the morning I weak up after long chitchat with a family,
brother, dad, and her mom. I take a shower firist, and then use kamben, udeng
and nice white shirt(traditional dress). We start in the small place at home, usually
Balinese people have that kind of place. then I go to a temple of kadek family,
after that go to the some special place for her family. I go to 5 place in
that morning, because on the afternoon
we will go to Tejakula. Tejalkula is actually the place of kadek family belong,
because a parent born in there and have many family in there. We meet anik and a family, very nice family
also and humble. After anik finish the ceremony same like kadek family, we
together go to the special ceremony in the special temple for kadek and anik family usually go when galungan
event. I still use my kamben and udeng, following go to the temple to pray.
In front of temple so many people there and a very person
say hey to kadek and anik maybe the also the family of them. I come to praying
ceremony following what anik and kadek say, how to pray and what should I do
when I praying in the temple. Before this I already praying at besakih temple,
but maybe have a different better I ask. Finish the praying go to tiny market
in front of the temple, buy some traditional food and it is delicious food.
That is magic travelling I ever have, it so amazing experience
I can’t explain what kind feeling I have. Because of that traveling I know why
Bali is still best place and also the call tiny paradise on earth. Because how
they so close with the God and the nature in every ceremonial. Also have many delicious
food, humble people, have good arak and wine (you must know the best don’t try
the unsovory, and must know where they come from) don’t drink like random
origin. Tejalkula, Karangasem, and singaraja have a good arak. Hehehe ;)
